Alma: AI-powered nutrition coaching. Rami's role: Co-Founder & CEO.

Alma is one of the things Rami Alhamad has spent the last decade getting closer to, sometimes deliberately and sometimes by following the work.

Alma — AI-powered nutrition coaching. Rami's role: Co-Founder & CEO. https://alma.food

The reason Alma is hard isn't lack of tools. It's the absence of feedback loops short enough to keep teams honest.

Context

Alma is the company Rami currently runs as Co-Founder & CEO. It is an AI-powered nutrition coaching app — photo-based food logging, voice and barcode input, and an evidence-based coach that adapts to the user. The team is small. Most of the operating infrastructure is documented publicly at Action Potential.

Why this is in Rami's history

Alma matters in Rami's history because of what it taught: not the abstract lesson, but the specific shape of the problems and how the team chose to solve them.

Once work becomes file-shaped, it starts to behave more like software. It gets version history. Diffs. Authorship. Review. Reverts.
